Umar Farooq Zahoor Explains the Clean Energy Strategy of Dubai
A Great Initiative to Handle Needs of Growing Energy
The program of Clean
Energy has been discussed from 2015 by Sheikh Bin Rashid to meet the energy
needs. The only aim of this strategy is to enhance the portion of renewable and
clean energy by 7 percent by 2020 to 25 percent by 2030 and by 2050, it will
reach seventy percent, as explained by Umar Farooq Zahoor.
Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050
Umar Farooq Zahoor quoted
that Dubai is a global pioneer in growing the clean as well as the renewable energy
sector. It has come up with a lot of techniques & practices to grow the
energy sector’s efficiency while rationalizing consumption and figuring out some
alternative way-outs to conventional energy. This is such a big support to the sustainable
development of the United Arab Emirates.
Umar Farooq Zahoor
said that the Clean energy approach 2050 of Dubai has flung by HH Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice president cum Prime Minister of the United
Arab Emirates and Dubai’s Ruler, focuses to offer seven percent of the total
power output of Dubai from clean energy by the year, 2020. The target will be grown
to twenty-five percent by 2030 &seventy-five percent by 2050. The only city
in the region is Dubai to launched this promising strategy, with some defined
goals and all timelines that can map the future of energy till 2050.
Five Pillars of Clean Energy Strategy 2050
Umar Zahoor has
explained the five common pillars of this strategy that comprise building
capacities& skills, legislation, funding, infrastructure, and an
eco-friendly mix of energy. The infrastructure pillar involves the initiative
of Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park that is the biggest solar power
project across the world that includes five thousand megawatts of planned capacity
by the year 2030 and an investment of around fifty billion AED.
Although the rapidly growing
emission of energy leads to a lack of energy needs and energy through
conventional resources, Dubai had developed a strategy for clean energy that
aims at producing around seventy percent of energy needs by the clean resources
throughout 2050. The mission can be accomplished by implementing all the
pillars of Clean Energy and it is the best strategy ever adopted by Dubai, said
Sheikh Umar Farooq Zahoor.
Not only in Dubai, but
it is required all across the world to cope up with the requirements for
energy.
