On being asked, he also mentioned that Manuel Kuehn, head of Siemens Energy said that they will use the green hydrogen to decarbonise the sectors as well as applications in the lives that we we are unable to electrify.

Know a little about green hydrogen

Green hydrogen is created by dividing water into two parts using electricity from any kind of renewable energy sources. This green hydrogen is being called the new fuel of the future which will help reduce carbon emission.

How UAE is becoming a sensation in manufacturing green hydrogen?

Mr. Umar Zahoor also mentions the plans of Siemens Energy with green hydrogen. As per the company’s plan, they will develop green hydrogen technology in the UAE in the next 5 years to help them address the huge market while reducing the cost of production overall.

It was in January 2021, when Siemens Energy signed a deal with the Abu Dhabi State investor Mubadala who is working on accelerating green hydrogen capabilities in the state. Mubadala works to fulfilling the hydrogen economy vision in the UAE. With this deal, both Siemens and Mubadala will work on using renewable energy for the production of green hydrogen as well as hydrogen-based ecosystems that are usually supplied from the UAE.

Umar Farooq Zahoor also mentioned how this deal between them both will help advance the technology while driving down the cost of green hydrogen. He also mentioned how UAE is aiming to become the next big sensation in hydrogen production across the world.

Abu Dhabi To Export Hydrogen for a Fuel

After this deal between Abu Dhabi Oil Co. (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi State investor Mubadala, the capital of the UAE is expected to become the ground zero for the production of both blue well as green hydrogen, said Umar Farooq Zahoor. In the coming 5 years, the United States of Emirates is going to become the central producer of both blue and green hydrogen in the world. So, he said, it is not wrong to say that green hydrogen and blue hydrogen production is the next big thing in the UAE, said Umar Farooq Zahoor.
