UAE accelerating shift towards green energy - Umar Farooq Zahoor

Green energy or renewable energy is the most stable and sustainable source of energy that can be used without the worries of its being gone from the face of Earth, unlike non-renewable energy. With the constant and overconsumption of non-renewable energy, humans have exhausted it to such an extent that it’s a luxury for an upcoming generation but that too if we able to save some just for education purposes.

Cutting some slack in saving Mother Nature and planet Earth, UAE has accelerated its steps towards the green energy to reduce carbon footprint and become an eco-friendly region. With the assemblies such as Irena, UAE has pledged to be soon using just green energy and forsaking every other non-renewable energy. With the way the country is launching one massive project after another, it can be assumed that in some time, UAE will become one of the largest provider or green energy to exist.

If facts are to be believed, UAE has so far invested more than $12 Billion in different green energy projects throughout the country and world. Along with this, the UAE government is ready to welcome every other company with an exciting idea or set up related to reducing the country’s carbon footprint and making them go full-on green energy.

One of the living examples of this innovative thought process of going full green can be seen in the form of The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park which is considered to be a beacon of becoming green. UAE is also considering living the crude oil business once it settles up the company that is eco-friendly with the resources that are not going to end or perish anytime soon.

Sheikh UmarFarooq Zahoor a Pakistani-Norwegian weighs out his profitable options and put it in the stand if green energy. According to him, making money is fine by destroying the surrounding while so and dying before living to the best is not. According to him if we don’t switch, we are going to make planet Earth a concrete jungle without any living soul.

UAE always like to stay steps ahead of its competitors and so far where other countries are only preparing schemes and funds, UAE has already established what other countries are thinking off- moving towards sustainability.

Wind energy is being used, as well as solar. If the estimated plan of UAE works, the country will soon emerge to be a global leader and will not have to depend on any other countries like every additional time.

Suppose we want to live a prosperous, sustainable and happy life. In that case, green energy is the only way to choose, or we will leave nothing for the upcoming generation, which is being selfish and inconsiderate for the future generation to come. In the coming days, the UAE government is going to start more projects to accelerate the country’s growth towards a healthy future and requesting its citizens to do the same for better tomorrow.
